Hello all,
Doug and all of the fine people down at Air Command have just finished building my two place tandem airframe. I have decided to sell this airframe due to some personal reasons. I am willing to sell it for $8000.00 if the buyer can pick it up in Texas at Air Command soon. If I have to go and pick it up I will probably add another 500.00 to the price. The cost of this unit would normally be well over $11,000 but I need to move it quickly. I will add some pics below, let me know if you are interested.

Hey, where the heck are my pics. The got lost in cyber world. OK, here they are. The instrument pod is not installed in this pic but it comes with it and is the one that is a partial enclosure like Maxie has on his AC.

This is a complete airframe and pod. No blades, instruments, motor or motor mount are included. All else should be there as you can see in the pics.

This is a brand new tandem airframe constructed by Air Command at thousands less than you could buy it elsewhere. I need money for a boat.

Boat = Bring on another thousand.....
Know what the two best days are for any boat owner? The day you buy it and bring it home and the day you sell the money pit and find a new hobby!

I would consider taking a boat in trade for my airframe.

I'm going to Caddo on Saturday to look at the frame. I'll let you know in another post on Sunday my decision.

Jamie,
Well, I didn't have any luck at the club meeting picking up some help. Looks like we here in Housotn will have to wait a to get a trainer going. Probably when I sell my Colt, which may be a long time down the road with all I've spent on it. Good luck with you sale it's a very nice machine.

I am going to Texas to pick this airframe up in just a few weeks. If anyone is interested in seeing it before it comes back to GA, or anywhere along the way let me know.
Email Greg if you need a reference as to how nice this brand new frame is. It is just dying for someone to make it a trainer. I really hate it didn't work out for the Texas chapter.

Up to one year ago or so Texas was posed to be "The" place to be for gyro activities, what happened?
It has been very quiet now!

Heron,
I don't know about other parts of Texas but here in Houston we have lost members mostly because of no trainer. A few years ago the pres of the club started a seperate entity to build a two place machine. We went from 5 members to 40 in about a year all buying into the training system that was being touted. Then things went off the beaten path and the two place suffered. A boom trainer was built and crashed, then repaired. A training system (sylabus) was worked on but never finished, and work on the trainer came to a halt. Mostly because the money raised to build it was spent else where. We lost many members and in an attempt to hold things together I took over as pres of the club and director of the training system. Then things went south for me with personal projects and the trainer has been waiting again. It's hard to get others to pitch in with the work that has to be done. Some of that may be the lack of parts to complete it, but there are things that could be done while we are raising money for re-duction drive parts and wiring up the Legacy engnie. I've just about completed my project and will be getting back on the trainer full steam shortly. I implimented a dues system to raise money for the parts that will be needed to get the trainer flying.
I know with a trainer Chapter 62 will grow again to be a busy club. We picked up a new member this weekend:) Sorry I couldn't get the frame as I would really liked to. The time to flying could have been much shorter, but I'll keep pluging along chipping away at the stone until it shines.

No Jamie, thanks I hope someone gets it flying soon! I will be flying the Golden . . .
Grego . . .its a pitty things went cold, pretty soon it will be back on track.
I think I have a solution for the trainer problem and as soon as I figure out the final costs I will let everyone knows, but it will be really cheap!!
As I have to work out a plan for training in Brazil (mandatory for the local FAA) maybe we can do something complete and update to use here too.
Got lots of video clips and pic to ilustrate a good training method.
thanks

Heron, respectfully, unless your solution is to buy my trainer then post it somewhere else in another thread. This thread is about selling my airframe.

The time is drawing near for me to go to Texas and I do not want to have to make the trip, make me an offer and we will see how things go. No offer will be offensive, although some may be turned down. Remember I will trade for a nice fishing boat.

Maxie and I were planning on coming to the SX fly-in, but Max had some vehicle problems and things just fell apart.
