Got our first Sparrowhawk kit today and now we're studying drawings and parts. At a glance everything looks very good workmanship.
I'm curious how much time it takes now to identify all parts (the only thing in kits I don't like to do :)
Randy, when do you plan to be airborn? ;)
Cheers

Congratulations Alex,
I took about two days to read through and lay everything out in order. You are allowed a little longer as you are looking a English instructions instead of Russian. If you run into a question about how something works or looks like make sure to contact Jaap at Buckeye. He has been a great help to me.
I think I will be ready to fly in about three weeks. I am still waiting for final registration paperwork form our FAA to give me permission to test and fly my gyro.
Have fun building and flying your SparrowHawk. I know Victor Zabolotski will love it.

Well, gentlemen, two months of interesting job brought first result: we have our first SH on wheels. If everything goes well it should be ready next month. Some photos may be interesting for the gang:

midnight gripping reading: not detectiv story, just SH drawings, to plan tomorrow's steps. Special "Thinker Chair" should be a must for any good workshop ;)

Alex, that's the worst finishing and paint job I've ever seen on a cabin. ;)

Shame on you, Ken, - it's not finishing, just primer. It will be papered with old newspapers soon (I prefer 'The Times' for cabin and 'Pravda' for tail. Not my idea - I borrowed it from a Roxette CD.

Alex,
You are just flying along. Your machine looks great. I know the paint will be just fine. I think you are making the SparrowHawk in the shortest time I know of. Great job. I think you will sell a lot of SparrowHawks in Russia and maybe some in eastern Europe. Good luck and it looks like your having a good time.
Best Regards, Randy Coplen

Ah, these stripes... They are just putting cabin parts together - it passed a (mandatory here) crash test prior to be installed.
