Beautiful evening for flying. I was checking some hi-hoes I have cleaning out a drainage ditch on my ground. You can make out my shadow in this picture.

I always thought a "hi-hoe" was a hooker on crack. And, a great example you are with your reckless flying. You're flying over some trees and a river and I thought you believed in "Never fly over anything you can't land on." Hmmmph. ;) Nice pics.

Stan why in the heck would anyone up there was a Hihoe to rip down more trees? I think you guys need more trees as it is! BTW they call those BackHoes around here.
Looks lke it would be cool to fly up there, but I wonder if it wouldn't get kinda boring after a while with no change in the scenery. Is there alot of airports around there? Here you can't fly more than 5-10 miles any direction without passing over a airport or two.

Ron, I think Illinois is verrry boring after a while to fly over. It was fun when I first got my certificate. But now it's sort of dull.
I'd rather have some varied ground (scenery) to fly around. :)
Yes, we have a lot of airports around. And a lot of farm (grass) strips. I live in the Chicagoland area. So I have to get about 30 miles out to where there are more airports. Mayor Daley is not a big endorser of general aviation.

Stan,
What brand of polish?

I want to post a clarification of my previous post. It was misinterpreted by some and I sent a private apology to Stan. When I post pics of my flying, it's almost always showing homes, canyons, mountains and other rough terrain below. It's just the way it is if I want to fly around here.
So when I saw the flat land Stan was flying over, I thought it would be funny to act like I was shocked that he flew over that little creek and tree line, and express my "outrage" at his "reckless" flying. I put the smiley face that's winking afterwards to indicate I was not being serious. But, like many of us have learned before, printed words are easy to misinterpret. I definitely was not chastising Stan or accusing him of reckless flying. I apologize for any misinterpretations of my post, which was totally intended as tongue-in-cheek.

I knew what you ment Ken ;)
I have to fly over 'tricky' terrain also.
Unless someone is using a omni-fish-eye lens there are still likely over 200+ degrees worth of view that you can't see in the picture.
One of my favorite pictures is one of me flying low over an abandoned barn ( barnstorm-get it :D ). The barn is near a grass strip runway so I get to be legal since I fly over it in the process of taking off and landing.
I have not posted it though since I did not want anyone to think I was flying illegally.

Stan the Man!!! Great pictures. I was told my gang is getting me a digital camera for fathers day. Keep posting the pics. I like to see!
PS, Hey Ken! Lighten up. By the looks of the pictures, Stan couldn't hit a tree if he tried. Too much open land.

I am having a problem downloading pictures to a thread. It gives me a error msg saying my file is to big.I have a digital camera I download the pictures to a file. How can I reduce the size of the file?
KenSandyEggo

I was having the same problem. I download mine into Photoshop and reduce the size and quality. There are probably other less expensive programs that I'm sure someone will pop in here with. Usually when I reduced the size to 6 inches across, they were small enough, but not always.
Try the program that came with your camera. Sometimes you can do adjustments in there. I can also pull them into my HP printer/scanner program and make some adjustments. I got spoiled with Photoshop though.

Well pilgrim, I found out the solution. It was driving me nuts! After many hours of trying all kinds of stuff, I typed the question on a search engine. The answer is that the more pixals of resolution, the more bits of info you consume. I reduced the pixal quality down to 680 X 480. That put the picture from high quality resolution and 1.1 mb to lower quality and 74.5 kb. This lower amount of memory needed to store and transfer allows posting on the limited amount of space you can post on this site.( do I sound like an expert or what?)To make the change to reduce the pixel value of your camera, push OK. Then schroll down to the lower quality. Better yet!!!!When all else fails, read the manual.

Hi Stan, what kind of applicator do you use and do you use a circular motion, with the scratches, across the scratches?
I've had the Novus stuff for about 6 mos. now, never got around to using it.

Thanks Stan. My problem is on the inside of the wind screen at the stucture edges.
I'm glad that you have used Novus and is happy with it.
