The BD's coverage was very thin....I want to know more!
1. What type of prerotator does it have ?(explain in detail please)
2. Which prop performs better(2 options) Ivo(medium or mag) or the DUC ?
3. Is the 912s(100hp) enough for 1320lbs gross ?
4. I would like to see some pics of the Mitsubishi turbo installed on the 80hp 912.
5. Can this machine do a zero roll flair landing ?
6. Does it ever land tailwheel first ?
7. It appears that the doors lift up. I would like to see how they operate.
8. I would like to see some cutaway/partially assembled photos.
I think that should just about scratch the surface !
Thanks

Stan, we had cable modem for a 3 month trial. I dropped it when the price went back to $40 a month. It was great.
Now we have Verizon DSL $17.95 A month Plus we kept AOL for an additional $8.95. It is just as good & we love it.
Dial up SUCKS !
And now...... back to the Xenon !!!!!!!
Can you answer any of my questions Stan ?

I can’t answer most of the questions about the Zenon but I did look the prerotator over closely. It has “V” belts driven off the prop hub and looks like a 2 or 3:1 stepup ratio to the jackshaft. Clutching is by tightening the “V” belts.
The jackshaft runs over the top of the engine to a 90º gearbox and then up to the starter pinion, which is engaged by a pull in solenoid, GM style.
The reason I took a good look at it was that at first glance, the “U” joints appeared to be the plain pin and bushing joints used in aircraft control linkages or Craftsman socket sets, but they were not; they looked to be the smallest needle bearing joints made by Lovejoy or similar European supplier with 1/8 inch pins running in wee little needle bearings.

From the pics , I could not see the shaft.
What about this electric solenoid ? Engage that first & then feed in the spin ?
Slipping belts like Ernies' setup ?
Did they take the cowling off the motor at all ?

Hey Chris, If you have Verizon DSL you don't have to keep paying AOL. AOL will let you keep using your AOL software and AOL email if you get another internet provider and drop them. Log into AOL's homepage and then go look through their support section. They talk about it somewhere in there. So, drop the $8.95 your paying AOL and use that money to bump up to a higher speed on your DSL.

Ok i'll try to answer a few of these and no. them to make it easier for meself mainly.
1. Sort of been explained fairly well already, and yes you flick a switch to ensure the engagement of the soliniod then engage the belts, then as you disengege the belts the switch is automaticly disengaged
2. Obviously since the Xenon is only now sold with the Duc as standard, this should answer the question.
3. In most if not all situations YES, this question is a bit like asking how long is a piece of string.
4. Sorry you wont get one of those, until and only until the motor combination is proven and ready for release.
5. UMMMM sorry i thought every gyro was able to do that?????? It up to the pilot not the gyro...
6. Yes, there is a link on my website that shows this happening.
7. I dont know how much more you need to know, They lift up and locks are usable for both sides of the door obviously, and also are very easily removed.
8. Once again more of these on my site.
Hope this helps.
