Has anyone tried making a level gauge for their old style RAF2000 seat tank? I've seen lots of single place machines with a clear tubing on the side to visually check the level.

I've seen a clear tube run from the bottom of the tank, underneath the right door and then up the front door frame. Maybe it wasn't clear, because some fuels, like car gas wouldn't show in the tube. It may have been another color.

Ken,
That's sort of what I though of doing, but I don't know how I would vent the top of the tube back to the tank. I don't want tubing run all over the cabin.

I've seen tubing used on other craft, including fixed-wings. Some run up the middle of the instrument panel. There must be someone here who knows how it's vented. Couldn't just leave it open at the top, especially if you're not a super-hero gyro driver like myself, who never uses the doors.
