Hi Ron,
Did you cut a slit in the bottom 1/2 of the cowling along the outside curves on both sides that go back to firewall - so it would allow the underside to bend up to match the airframe better? I have a photo that may be a shadow but looks like there was a slit on the bottom rounded/corner that maybe had material removed. My cowling is at least a couple inches below the airframe and I am thinking about doing some fiberglass work..... jtm
