I've mentioned that the software has many add ons and features available. *I've added a couple this evening.

1. *You'll notice the new calendar icon in the top menu bar. *Click it and take a look. *To add an event, just click the date. *Its fairly easy. *The calendar also added an upcoming events section to the bottom of the main page. *Check it out.

2. *Search Forum. *Now when you click on a category, at the bottom of the page is a small section that allows you to search directly from the page. *This is a nice feature since it doesn't require that you go out to the dedicated search page only.

3. Very simple one, you'll notice the greeting at the top, instead of say Hey!, it now says, good morning, good afternoon or good evening.

I'll keep you posted with new developments.
Todd, you are really making this a great forum. *All the "small" changes really are great improvements.

Another suggestion, if it is possible:

Can you show which individual posts are new. *The folders are marked, but when looking at a dozen posts it is hard to pick out where the new ones start without checking the dates and times of the individual posts. * Or is there a way to see this already that I am not aware of?

Any way to add an attachment for photos like on Norms forum. I have photos, but they are in my computer and not on a server.

Don't know how to post pics.

Here are a couple answers:

1. Ken, once you go into a category, there is a small "new" icon that appears next to each thread that has new messages since your last visit. It looks like this. I assume thats what you meant.

http://www.flytapco.com/forum/memberpics/newicon.jpg

2. John, My biggest concern at this time is making sure the forum is here to stay. Norm talked about spending $400 a month on bandwidth and I'm afraid at that level it would quickly become unaffordable for me. The fastest way to eat up bandwidth is with large images and file downloads. My current server will allow monthly bandwidth of 30GB which is a LOT of bandwidth. If it appears after a few weeks that we aren't getting close to the 30GB monthly maximum I will gladly add the file attachment option. I just don't want to add it right now and have it be a mistake.

Thanks for the input.

Todd

Also you should mention, that in the "far right box" it gives the last post and if you click on the posters name, it will take you to that post! :o

Todd,

No, what I was referring to is the actual posts themselves, not the category.

I can not tell which ones are new since my last visit like on the old forum.

For example, look at the post above this one. *Is new since your last visit? *How can you tell?

Ken

I'll keep looking, but I can't promise anything.

Todd
