Could some of you that have landing lights tell me what wattage you are using?

I just put a 50w halogen on the Twinstarr but I have the option of upping it to 100w and I was wondering what people were using.

I would say it depends on whether you want to be seen by others, spook deer or light up the whole airport.
The photons from 50 watts will travel many miles.

Look at HID's. They provide much more light for less current.

Do they produce more or less heat?

you worried about Global warming.

I used two 200 watt landing light that alternated because each had it's own blinker.

At present I am using 100 w landing lights that can be blinking or steady on. They really help while taxiing.
