.. I am thinking of placing the pitot and static system above the cabin. I took a couple of pics to give you some idea.
Thoughts would be appreciated.
Aussie Paul. :)
I was trying to find a place to take pics without s**t in the background. Not possible. :):)

Paul: That looks nice and neat. Hey...I am not near as qualified to offer suggestions on that...but it just seems it would be in cleaner air out on the nose.
Also....that "bleed air adjustment" I have installed in my pitot line has me tickled pink. I can "set and forget" and know my ASI to be right on......and I have only set it once. So I am saying I am not chasing the darn thing all over. I just verify it with two GPS runs 180 degrees apart downwind and tailwind...and verify the ASI reading.
It is real nice to see that I have a very accurate instrument...and one that when I take one door off...or both.....or fly in the summer that when that ASI says my airpspeed is 85.....I can count on it being within 1-2 mph of that. I am not that anal about the ASI being that close...but after flying my RAF and now my SparrowHawk with both ASI reading way too high....its refreshing to have a readout that can be kept very accurate....and with a turn of a screw,...keep it correct.:)

Good Stran. Personally I like things like the asi, car speedos etc to be correct.
Aussie Paul. :)

Paul: I just want to clarify that I understand that an aircraft that is going exactly 80 mph through 20 degree air will not have the same performance as it will going through 90 degree air exactly 80 mph.
