Hi Teddy,
I was sent this press release from a good friend of mine within the California Army National Guard back in January, and he asked me to help get the word out again this year.
The Wings, Wheels, & Rotors event is held every year on the last Sunday in October at the Los Alamitos Army Airfield, Joint Forces Training Base. I've participated at this event several times and the California Army National Guard are wonderful hosts.
Teddy, please help and tell everyone in Chapter 1 about the Wings, Wheels, & Rotors 2007 at the next and successive meetings. This is the perfect event for PRA Chapter 1 to attend and display various members' gyroplanes. Just think the potential of gaining new members of interested aviators! The CA ARNG aviators for one would be ecstatic in seeing all the different gyroplanes along with the public. I challenge any owner of a Gyroplane who lives within 100 miles of Los Alamitos AAF to be there and display their Gyroplane and show the public the other side of rotorcraft aviation.
Below is the press release with information and contact numbers.
Thanks
Wayne

We are trying at this time to get all the members back together or find out if there is any members left of Chapter 1. All we can find at this time is Marion and Teddy. All of us have been calling, e mailing Randy Wrisley the last known president with no response not sure what happened to him. So once we get the group together I think we all would love to come out for that show, it would be a honor.

Don't forget Marie Brock. I talked to her recently and she expressed concern that the chapter was falling apart. Please include her in your activities.

I was at El Mirage on Saturday last September. I asked several people there who was the current chapter president. I was told that Randy was. I was searched high and low for Randy (not knowing who he was) to let him know about last years (2006) Wings, Wheels and Rotors event at Los Alamitos JFTB. Everyone I spoke with there seemed like they were not interested in the WWR event and not to very helpful in pointing out who Randy was. All I got was, "... he's sort of a big guy like you." How sad! Especially when several said to me in conversation that the chapter is in decline!
There's three of you who know of WWR 2007 event. Why don't you three plan on being there regardless of the chapter's attendence or not?
