Hi ben, there is one being built in Oz. A little wing derivative sxs. He has previously built a SE5 replica with a 503 Rotax.
Send me your email to paulbruty@tpg.com.au and I will send you his email address.

All it takes is time and money.

:typing: If my memory of the Little Wing tape serves, I believe that he experimented with a rotor on a full sized airplane. Maybe you could contact him and see how that worked out.

If you at my older post about this. just aircraft will help you get a sxs out of a plane they sell. I was at thier factory last year told the welder how to change the tail and they said they would do what ever I wanted. 16,000. No motor or rotor system.

Ben,
Not hard at all. I have toyed with the idea but when put to paper, it looks hideous (in my view)..sort of a flying lightbulb!
Now, if it were scaled up to a full-sized T-Craft scale, it looks a lot better. But, it then weighs a lot more. If the looks don't bother you, you can simply modify the drawings, as viewed from the top, to a wide cabin.
This is what the fellow who Paul Bruty referred to is building I believe.

Brent, Daryl loves the fan out the front and tail draggers. He flies a beautifully built SE5 replica. I will find a pic ijn the nect couple of days.
Ben, I am glad you made contact.
Ron, thanks for the good wishes for Daryl.
