I have a question I hope some 912 engine owners (or other smart people) can answer for me.
Background:
The water cooling system on the 912S engine runs 4 hoses from the water pump to the bottom of each cylinder head (2 on each side of the engine). Then the water runs up through the heads and 4 hoses then run from the top of each head to the expansion tank sitting on top of the engine.
Modification:
To get the hoses to clear the motor mount and exhaust pipes I made a change. On the left side of the engine I switched the hoses so the one from the top of the water pump runs to the #1 cylinder (rather than the #3 cylinder) and the one from the bottom runs to the #3 cylinder (rather than the #1 cylinder). On the right side of the engine I did the same switching the hoses so the one from the top of the water pump runs to the #2 cylinder (rather than the #4 cylinder) and the one from the bottom runs to the #4 cylinder (rather than the #2 cylinder).
Question:
Will this cause any problems?
Thanks.
