[WHY]

While such a machine has long been the dream and goal of many a designer, the reality of it's application is some what scary.

If just 10% of the morning commute crowd were to have such a machine and attempt to commute to a metro area it would make the Battle of Britian look like a cake walk.

The licensing and control of such a situation would ( at the present ) be a near impossibility.
