I am trying to register a KB-2 and the FAA paperwork wants a serial number for the aircraft and the engine. The Mac engine has a SN but I can't find one on the gryo. Were there SN"s on the KB's frame somewhere. The mast has been replaced and probably the cross member. The Keel is original.

I built and registered 2 aircraft. The serial Number is one you make up of your own. For instance, my first bird was 001, now my second bird is 002. Just make one up and file it.

SCrew-in is correct
when I build my kb2 I use 001. There is no reference os serial in the manual, tubes or paper work that is send with the kit.

Fred, You can use 001 or any number you prefer. The gyro is registered to you Sutton 001 or what number you choose, its up to you.

Like Chuck said:
HP: Whatever ect.
Rivit the plate on your A/C and there you go. If anyone want to see it, they need only look for your data plate.

Just a minor update...
the FAA now requires LAST NAME, FIRST NAME in the "Make" field.
I just used my initials and the number PVW-001 for the serial number.
