I am listing this for Jake since he is not on line much. If you want it or need to ask questions call him at 239-695-2145
It is a custom built gyro that has Centerline thrust and is a loose mix of Aircommand and Dominator tandem design. It has a dominator type front suspension and aircommand type rear suspension. It steers with the brakes as do dominators. It has a Aircommand type stab and a fixed full span vertical stab with a movable rudder. It has a 13 gallon seat tank in the rear seat and the front seat is just a seat. Under the front seat is a storage bin large enough for a 12 pack of drinks or whatever you might put in there...
Brakes and main wheels and tires are Cessna 152 type.
Engine and Re drive are off a RAF 2000, Subaru EJ-22.
Prop is 4 blade warp drive.
Rotorblades are Dragon Wings.
Rotorhead is Dominator double bearing with the Slider mods, and flap stops
Muffler is home made and I swear you will never hear a quieter exhaust on a gyro -unless the engine is not running!
Full dual controls front and rear
Basic instrumentation
Pre rotator starts with the stock RAF clutch arrangement adapted to turn a hydro pump instead of the flex shaft. The hydro pump pumps fluids up to a mast mounted hydro drive unit. Then the drive unit turns a driveshaft up to the bendix on the rotorhead. This is the best of all worlds and works well. Keeps the weight of the heavy hydro drive unit off the rotorhead and the RAF clutch keeps the belt from accidentally grapping in flight as can happen with most hydro units.
I have flown this gyro and was impressed. Jake wants to sell to start yet another gyro project. He would like to get as much as he could for it, but has said he would entertain offers in the 15 grand price range. It could use a paint job but other than that it is ready to fly right now.
