How about this for light and powerful?

http://www.atpcoinc.com/Pages/Requests.html

I spoke with a guy at this company: Engine runs 30k, prop $7500-13k electric pitch. Have to get with prop co. on proper propeller for our applications, but overall firewall forward should be under 50k. Maintenance is an annual inspection of the "Hot Section" and blades. TBO ranges from 5,000-10,000 hours.

What do you think? Good application for a Little Wing?

If someone can sponser me say 100k, I'll try it

When the TBO gets over 2K the next question should be Fuel Burn.
120HP and 10.7 GPH sounds to me like a blatent lie

Yes Steven, I'm still planning the radial, but this turbine is appealing. BTW Steven, that ain't me holding the frame.

ERuttan, I share your feelings, but that is what they (Bill Brady) say. There are alot of things I don't know, that I would like answers too: I'm not sure what the contineus HP needed for cruise flight in a 1100lb LW with 29-30ft rotor system would be for say 100mph (I don't even know what Vne is). I'm sure it would be less than 120hp. If so, according to the company the fuel burn would be less than 10.7

Could you imagine the take off dist. and climb rate. 1100lbs gross /29-30ft rotor with 200+ hp. Gonna have to dip them DragonWings in some spinach.

John,

Look carefully at the specs. They claim only 600 pounds of static thrust for 240 HP at 3050 prop RPM. You can do that with a good running Soob 2.5 on less than half the fuel, even if you buy the Soob from NSI.

Screw-In,

Hey Steven, did you get my video? How soon? How soon?

About the turbine, I never say never. My current LW project will have the radial.
