Can anybody please tell me where I can get assembly plans and specs for a Bensen B8 Rotor Head. The Rotor blades were made in 1982 if this helps. Thanks.

The original Bensen plans came with the blueprints for a gimbal head with a spherical bearing. The Vortech plans I have come with a set of prints for a more modern ball bearing head. If you need assembly instructions to mount the blades to the rotorhead, they both came with that info.

Hi Herman,

Are you looking for plans to *build* a Bensen type rotor head?

I've got several versions of plans I can email to you which I've collected over the years I'd be happy to share with you.

Regards,

John L.

Hi, I need to verify that I am re assembling the rotor head correctly. I took pictures when disassembling but still need verification. Any assembly plans will help Thank you. herman@alesco.co.za

I have the original Bensen rotor head on my Gyro, and I'm not going to be using it, I can send it to you also, for just the cost of shipping. You can use it to make sure yours is put together correctly.

I've also got the original rotor head on my B8M. 'Seems like it should be ok. Mine has both pitch and yaw trim at the head. Kinda complex but seems functional.
I'd sure like copies of those other plans you have too John, if you'd like to send to me at eaglecarob"yahoo.com.
I've got 3D drawings of my Gyro completed as built and would be glad to share with all who wish. They're done in AutoCad so if you don't have a viewer I can convert them to PDF but they'll only be single views then.

I have 3 rotor heads two that are original Bensen with the spherical bearing and one that looks better with a regular ball bearing in the top and two rubber groments for the teter motion. All 3 would need to be reworked as far as the bearings are conserned before using for flight. I don't know much about the attatchment of Bensen blades since I don't have a set of them. If someone who has used this style of head can shed some light as to how they are used that would be great. I can let them go for $10 a piece since they need work and of course whatever it cost to ship them.

Griffin,
I thought you only had one. I'll take all three at that price. There is a PM waiting for you.
