I am trying to keep my ultralight Bandit ultralight. So,with any addition of new pieces I need to save the weight on others. Hence, what is the lightest prop (you know) was used with Rotax 503 DISC for 254 lb.(gyro) + pilot?
Thank you.
Any rumors about bigger ultralight?

Don't have a weight but my powerfin 60 inch was pretty light. Use a 2.58 B box on it. Also big savings in using RFD Dragon wings over anything else. Use Ralph Taggarts 2 model airplane engines for a prerotator for lightest setup.

Power-Fin, Prince, Kiev, are all light props. Light props are expensive and fragile too.

Georgi,
Tennesee (sp) propeller makes a two bladed wood prop that is both light and cheap. Look them up on the web. This is the same prop that Larry Neal uses. Both Dad and Chuck B have used this prop in the past with pretty good results.

Yes a few. But thats all they are is rumors.

A few people that should know, along with EAA. Say that the ultralight weight limits will NOT be changed anytime soon. If at all. That the FAA is pretty busy with Sport Pilot right now plus a lot of other items. And are not even entertaining any ideas about changing the U/L part 103 regs. :ohwell:

But I'd like to hear what you heard.

We should be getting heavier "part 103 llimits" right after anti- gravity becomes popular in homebuilts.
