Because of his inability to participate in a discussion without insulting others, Blll has been banned from the forum for 5 days. An e-mail explaining my actions has been sent and he was encouraged to rejoin us in 5 days.

Poor Bill. Got sent to his room for 5 days of time out. Too bad, I will miss all the insults and disrespect we have had the last few days... I will say Bill did make some good points he just wasn't being a nice guy while making them.

Todd,

Thanks for being proactive with this situation. I do not appreciate Bill's style of response to others who are being honest about their mistakes, in hopes that mistake can prevent someone else from suffering the same pain. The last thing those people need is comments from someone who thinks he knows it all. Bill's comments make it even less tolerable when we find out he has no experience with the situations being discussed.

Well stated Mark. We are all unique, but Bill, it seems, is a very unique individual, to say the least. I wish him well and hope he can see the error of his ways and correct them, if he returns.

I agree with the reasons why you banned Bill from the forum. I hate to say, I am going to miss Bill and his unique style of commenting on topics he knows nothing about. Without Bill and his comments, I wont be falling out of my chair laughing when "Screw" and GyroRon make the best come backs ever. I seriously fell out of my chair laughing when "Screw" said to order some liquid body armor for Duncan & Bill.

John Stevens and Ron Awad, you guys are classics! I hope to meet both of you at some of the fly ins this year! I am sure you will be easy to spot. I will just follow the trail of Mc Griddle wrappers and the snoring noise coming from your tent.

Todd- Good Call

Todd, I think you have everybodys support in what you did in this situation

Ocassionally we get people who become an Arragant Bastard (AB) in their writings and it only distracts from the topic at hand. The thread becomes a matter of defending ones opinions/actions or addressing the AB and his attitude, and all constructive learning is lost. Even though I hate this when it happens, I must say thanks to every one who has ever jumped in to call an AB back to order.

We have a very friendly forum here and we welcome all who come here whether they be a wannabe, newbe, or oldtimer with thousands of flight hours. What you and a few others have found out is that we do not like postings that are arragant in nature. Nobody likes having to wade through a mountain of BS to find a pearl of wisdom, and a lot won't even try to find it.

Bill. I hope you do decide to return. You did make some good points here and there, but the problem was in the delivery. Treat everyone here with respect and they will treat you with respect. It is a simple as that. If you make your posts positive, then everyone will welcome you back. I am sure you have knowlege and experiences that can be of benefit to all here when and if you share it wisely. Consider what we are saying and you will realize we are not against you personally, just your approach.

Now that that is over I feel a little better and I think I am getting my AB under control again. Down boy down boy. Thats better!! aaah

To every body else, We all have a little AB in us, try to keep him subdued and lets have some fun.

Shawn :)

This forum is Great! I am a beginner and I can't wait to get my PRA mag each month, but the information posted here is challanged, verified and discussed from so many different angles and I appreciate everyone who contributes. It has really given me a lot more respect for gyro's as aircraft rather than common perception in my area that they are death traps waiting to happen. The discussions on the recent accident while it may have been some speculation open my eyes to many possibilities that can go wrong. It taught me more about the importance of each fight inspection. Thank all of you who post on this forum and all of you who repectfully do so. You are doing as much for safty as the people who improve the design because I know others entering into this sport have learned from your mistakes. I hope that I can remember enough to avoid them as well.
