Missed my ride with Terry Eiland in his nice machine, but maybe at Mentone.

A guy at work said I have always been a Big Fat Idiot all ready and that I didn't any papers to prove it. I can feel the love. LOL.

I would also like to thank Mike. He reminds me of an old drill sergant I use to have. You know , thats what it takes to stay alive. Thats what it took to get it through my thick head. 10 hrs. of training with Mike is what I needed when I first started out. Thanks Mike.

I wish I know how you guys did it. I spent the entire Bensen Days begging every instructor there (with a fistful of 100 dollar bills) to give me some duel, but none of them could seem to find the time. One even said his gyro wasn't running right, then 2 minutes later he taxied out with someone else in the right seat. I guess I just don't look right or something. (PS the only one I didn't ask was Ernie, he was busy and he had Rusty flying for him, I did pester Rusty every day, but he was too busy I guess) This year was close to my first visit to Bensen Days when I could't get anyone to talk to me or take me up except Gary Buster.

Ken: I'm too old, water might do some funny things I'm not used to. Randy: I'm serious, I tried to get every instructor there to give me some training (I'm at the point where I control my Dominator OK and I really enjoy it, but I'm afraid I might try something I'm not ready for and bend that beautiful machine) Everyone was too busy and the money was real. I started to feel like I didn't take a bath or something. MJ: Gary was there in 98, my first gyro ride and I was only talking about getting someone to "larn" me something, the fellowship at BD is beyond description. Everyone is very friendly and a lot of fun. I would come even if I didn't have a gyro just to see you guys. Ron: I think I talked to you too much :)

Tom,
I can understand your concern. I was also afraid of bending my new Dominator so I took a couple of hours of dual with Rich Marshall in his beautiful Magni, just to be on the safe side. It was cheap insurance and made me feel a lot better about my first flight!
