At a fly-in in Tyler, TX, pilot Chris (?) flying a Monarch gyro did a great job of showing off what a gyro can do. A couple hundred people were there to watch rc aircraft, normal ac flying, one gyro, plenty of aircraft on static display. Congrats to the pilot!!!:whoo: Believe he is a member of the Olney, TX gyro group.

That would be Chris Wilson. Did you take any photos of the fly-in?

I didn't take any pics. I only stayed 45 min so don't know how many times he flew. I believe Chris said he moved back from Georgia and is flying out of the Caddo Mills airport(home for PRA 007).

Back in June as I was putting away my machine, I met Chris at Caddo Mills. We only spoke for a little while because he was anxious to get in the air and I had a long trip home.

He patiently answered my many questions about his Butterfly and I watched him fly before I left. I could tell he was very skilled. I think he also mentioned he’s a helicopter pilot?
